ARTICLE XXVII

SEPARABILITY AND SAVINGS

27.0 If any article, section, or provision of this Agreement shall be found to be contrary to or in conflict with federal or state law, that article, section, or provision only, shall be rendered void with no effect because of the contradiction or conflict with federal or state law to any other article, section or provision of this agreement. Upon written notification by either party, a meeting will be held within ten (10) working days of such notification to discuss the impact of the voiding of the affected article, section or provision. The Association and the Agency shall negotiate the affected article, section or provision. 27.1 Should any article, section or provision of this Agreement or application thereof be deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the parties shall meet, not later than ten (10) working days after receipt of such decision to examine this article, section, or provision affected, and if deemed appropriate by either party, commence meeting and negotiating with respect to the means of compliance therewith.
