Why It Matters Worse Than Climate Change
My third and final reason we need to build healthy—and why it matters now—is our increasing exposure to electromagnetic radiation, which unlike Climate Change, has already proven its immediate danger to all living things on our planet. The evidence that supports this is crystal clear and can no longer be denied; the explanation for the environmental and biological mechanisms that caused its origins and fuel its destruction are now known with great specificity and supported by science; we have recently completed extremely thorough and comprehensive studies from both the United States (i.e., National Toxicology Program) and Italy (Ramazzini Institute) that find “clear evidence” of carcinogenicity from cellphone radiation; and the preponderance of research published since 1990 finds adverse biologic and health effects from long-term exposure to wireless radiofrequency radiation, including DNA damage. Make no mistake about it, our infatuation with wireless technology and our reluctance to believe it is harmful have gotten us into a crisis situation. We now need to be brave enough to face the truth. Electro-pollution’s path of destruction and its increasing toll on our society in terms of chronic disease and lack of protection we offer our children should now be obvious to you if you’ve read the last two sections. So what do we do about it? Firstly, I think it important not to be an alarmist because stressing about it has shown to have its own negative biological effects and will only make it worse. But we also must acknowledge the problem and act with urgency, dramatically raise awareness, and elevate it to a position to where it belongs as by far our most clear and present danger among a laundry list of environmental concerns. Above all I believe we need to put a moratorium on 5G deployment and satellite Internet. Our COVID lockdowns gave Big Telecom a chance to accelerate their deployment of 5G while we were not looking and without public comment or oversight. And that’s a problem because despite what we are told or led to believe, 5G technology is NOTHING LIKE previous versions of cellular/ mobile technologies. It is a technology that is made up of new and different kinds of transmitters, requiring a much denser network of antenna, many times closer to our homes, sending out much more focused signals at pulsed frequencies of higher energy—all known to have greater biological effects and never before tested for human health and safety. [For a more thorough explanation, see my blog entry entitled, “Will 5G Negatively Affect Housing Values?” posted May 27, 2021 at onefinehouse.blog]
On top of that imagine the earth being bombarded by what conservative estimates peg at 40,000 to 60,000 satellites beaming electromagnetic radiation to every corner of the earth with no way to shield ourselves from its potential effects. Question: Could our dramatic increase in man-made electromagnetic radiation around the globe via cellular towers and Wi-Fi networks be disrupting the fragile balance of earth’s own natural EMFs, and consequently affecting our climate? A group called WiGLE was started in 2001 to begin cataloging wireless networks around the world. Their purpose according to their own web site is to consolidate location and information of wireless networks world-wide to a central database.
Here’s an example of what you can find on their site:
U.S. Wi-Fi NETWORKS SINCE 2000
A giant build out since starting at a baseline of practically zero in 2000.
Now compare these two images of the earth and you tell me if perhaps, just perhaps, there may be some connection between climate change and EMF exposure:
Crazy right? Imagine how these charts have changed even further in the last 5 years. Now imagine how much more they will change if 5G is fully deployed with 450,000 new antennae in operation on top of the existing network of 320,000 4G cell sites. Then imagine the map completely covered with Internet satellite on top of 5G and whatever exists before its deployment. My point for showing this is to make clear how recent and how immense these changes have been. Thirty years ago, there were so few WiFi networks that they simply do not show on a global map. I can’t say this enough—as we discuss healthy homes on this website you can see for yourself that our electromagnetic world was very different 25 years ago. I REPEAT, ONLY TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO . And regardless of how much you think it’s deployment does or does not impact human (or as the evidence suggests insect or farm animal or plant or microbial) health, it is clear that this externality is a profound new variable that we really did not have to consider as little as two-and-a half decades ago, but now most definitely have to take into account as we come up with new definitions of what a healthy home truly means. Finally, it is worth noting that scientists are noticing and documenting how our man-made electro-pollution is detrimentally affecting more than just humans, and provides us with yet another reason to believe that EMFs represent a virtually unrecognized existential threat way worse than Climate even though the evidence is staring us in the face. The threat is evident in practically every kind of life form. Anyone associated with natural foods is keenly aware of the dramatic decrease in the world’s bee population and how that negatively impacts pollination and honey production. Dr. Samuel Milham mentions how dirty electricity (another form of EMFs) when removed from ground currents improves milk production on dairy farms in his Dirty Electricity book; veterinarians report a marked increase in endocrine diseases in their pets over the past 20 years as research increasingly links electromagnetic radiation to endocrine malfunction; and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service reports that radiation is having ill effects on migratory birds and other wildlife. And so on as we increasingly observe and understand the negative impacts electromagnetic radiation is having on microbes, plants, wildlife, and all animal life, as well as our understanding of the mechanisms by which EMFs induce biological stress and breakdown healthy cellular processes. The most recent research on the topic is from June 2021 and can be found here. EMFs Affect All Living Creatures and Plants on Earth
